TRAX-IT® Slaughterhouse

Software Systems

TRAX-IT Slaughterhouse software is a powerful business management tool
which we customize to enhance your existing business processes
instead of forcing you to change your business processes to suit the software.
Our software helps slaughterhouses find the true cost and margins
made from their livestock purchases, by tracking from the supplier lot,
or farm of origin, through the slaughterhouse to the customer.
By doing this we can show you exactly how much of what you spend
is turned into profit, and what’s not being used.
Are you worried about losing money with the cattle you purchased
because you don’t know how much sellable meat you are producing
with your current Slaughterhouse Software?

“Our software system is designed to provide better cut yield information and eliminate that worry.”
We can maintain the identity of the carcasses and supplier lots
from reception to the boxed meat. This allows slaughterhouses to determine
their true carcass utilization and cost. With this data, you are able to see
which suppliers are generating your best yields and overall value,
and by using the cut out prices, you can compare your potential sales revenue
and margins with your actual revenue and margins, per invoice.
Wouldn’t you want to know how well your business is performing
without having to spend all that time with Excel?
We can provide a complete ERP system or individual modules which
can be customized and integrated with your existing systems to solve specific problems.

Is there a component missing from your current Slaughterhouse Software
that could maximize its value for you?
"We can value add an individual module to help fill the gaps so there
won't be any holes in your Slaughterhouse Software System"
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our small to medium size slaughterhouse customers
have experienced increased customer demand, while having to deal
with labor shortages and 'lack of experience' issues.
To Help with these problems, Merit-Trax Technologies Inc. has worked with our customers
to make changes to their operating procedures, which in conjunction with the Artificial Intelligence software modifications
that we made for them, has enabled them to meet the increased demand with fewer staff.

As an example of this, we modified some of our customers box packing procedures
so it would make it easier to identify the products being packed at the scale with less of an operator responsibility.
Our slaughterhouse software systems uses our award-winning
traceability technology in innovative ways to improve operations while
integrating data collection needs for planning, purchasing, production,
sales and distribution, quality assurance, food safety and traceability.
Data is collected in real-time using rugged handheld and touch screen
computers over a secure wireless network, making the data
instantly available to track and manage production.
Managers and floor operators are alerted in advance when
a quality assurance or food safety issue is about to occur.
The TRAX-IT Slaughterhouse software system provides

farm of origin, production batch number and quality lot number

thermometers, wireless sensors and RFID readers

Our Slaughterhouse Software systems reports allows you to follow the slaughter production on the kill floor in real-time from desktop computers in the office by the Receive Number, Kill Lot Number and Animal Number, using the following TRAX-IT desktop programs:

Our software helps to meet FSMA and SFCR requirements.

The FDA has finalized and integrated seven major rules to implement FSMA,

recognizing that ensuring the safety of the food supply is a shared responsibility

among many different points in the global food supply chain.

The FSMA rules are designed to make clear specific actions that

must be taken critical points to prevent contamination and ensure easier traceability.

The Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) were designed to improve

food product quality and safety for Canadian customers. To be licensed,

companies must have a rigorous food safety program based on

the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) methodology.

These food safety regulations are continually being updated and having boosted rules added to be enforced.

When it comes to the food business and consumers, they want to know

that they can trust the companies that are supplying the public.

Not only is having software that meets traceability and regulation requirements a way

to establish that consumer confidence, but it is also bottom line proficient

in helping you make the best production decisions to maximise potential profit and proficiency.

For Canadian slaughterhouses, the registration of Canadian CLTS tag retirement events automatically over the internet.
